Groove at the Manzanita Music Festival on the Beach!

We're Thrilled to Announce the Annual Manzanita Music Festival on the Oregon Coast!

In partnership between the North Coast Recreation District and The Hoffman Center for the Arts, this annual celebration on the beach will include a range of genres of music, including, Pop, Reggae, Bluegrass, Rap, Folk, and Americana.

Where? The Spectacular Manzanita Oregon

Manzanita is both visually incredible and charmingly picturesque. Conveniently located a short 93 miles from Portland, Oregon and 12 miles south of Cannon Beach, Oregon, Manzanita is the secret location locals love.

The Annual Manzanita Music Festival will kick off on the beach, and continue up the main street of Manzanita with two other stages.

When? July 23 - 24, 2016 After the Annual Manzanita Walk and Run

Manzanita beach is well known as one of Oregon's most picturesque locations, tucked into the base of Neahkahnie Mountain. The 5K / 10K Annual Manzanita Walk and Run is a terrific place for the race enthusiasts and those looking for a day of fun. This is a chip timed event. This event is a fundraiser for local organization North Coast Recreation District.

Neahkanie Mountain to the north Cape Lookout to the south provides a beautiful setting for this event. Many call this one of the most scenic runs on the coast! The run takes place entirely on the beach, most of it on the hard pack near the water’s edge. The 5k and 10k will start at the same time from the same start line and head south towards their respective turnaround point.

Manzanita Walk and Run begins at the foot of the Laneda Avenue, the main street running through the center of Manzanita, located on the gorgeous seven mile Manzanita Beach. Runners commence in a single start, heading south towards the Nehalem Bay Jetty.

Participants will then change course and head back north towards a picture perfect finish of Neahkahnie Mountain meeting the sands of Manzanita Beach.

Mile markers and volunteers on course provide assistance for runners on turn arounds as well as aid. Music provides and extra energy for runners and their event. Runners refuel on snacks afterwards. Awards for top finishers as well a raffle for prizes will be held after the finish.

Runners and walkers of all speeds and ages participate. Leashed dogs are welcome.

March 5, 2016 Just heard the following from someone with more insider information on Reddit. We'll link to the official website as soon as it is available:

There will be a small fee involved for those coming just for the Music Festival. Participants of the Manzanita Beach Walk & Run get free admission into the festival however. There will be local and regional artists, as well as, vendors, craft breweries and wineries sampling their own beverages throughout the event. A site will be launched soon for more information.
