Okay, here at Manzanita Beach Life, we’re a little biased about our Manzanita restaurants!
Most restaurants in the Manzanita Beach community are closed for the holiday.
One alternative is ordering a take out Thanksgiving Dinner. For a traditional dinner, try Manzanita Grocery & Deli, The Little Apple, our Manzanita grocery store, open 7:00 am – 3:00 pm Thanksgiving Day. For Thanksgiving 2018, at around $179 (less if you order early), your take out dinner will include a 12 – 14# Roasted Turkey with Dressing, 1.5 qt. Mashed Potatoes, 1.5 qt. Turkey Gravy, 1.5 pt. Cranberry Sauce, and 1 pt. Vegetables. Call (503) 368-5362 to find out details for Thanksgiving 2019 and to reserve your dinner.
Also available are extras for purchase by the pint or quart are Mashed Potatoes, Turkey Gravy, Dinner Rolls, Turkey Dressing, Fresh Cranberry Sauce, Chutney, and Corn.
You’ll also find delicious Apple, Pumpkin and Marion Berry Pies.
We typically order a couple wonderful salmon fillets, and smoke them, for our annual Beach Thanksgiving fish!
Take out dinner is a good option for those that don’t want to cook during their Manzanita Thanksgiving celebration. We traditionally stay at one of our Manzanita rentals and enjoy family and friends while dining next to Manzanita Beach views of the sparkling Pacific Ocean.

All their regular pies will be available, and they’ll also take special requests.

The Bunkhouse. Between Manzanita Beach and Nehalem, you’ll find The Bunkhouse. They’re open for your beach Thanksgiving breakfast on November 24th, then closed from 2:00 – 3:00 pm to prepare for their special beach Thanksgiving dinner, served from 3:00 – 8:00 pm, including scrumptious prime rib.

Mohler and Nehalem Restaurants Open For Thanksgiving 2018
Kendra's River Inn Food and Lodging. NOTE: For 2018 Kendra's is Closed for Thanksgiving Dinner. We're hoping they will be open again for Thanksgiving 2019!
Manzanita Beach is part of the very charming three village area of Manzanita Beach, Nehalem and Wheeler. Bisecting our area is the picturesque Nehalem River. And perched over the river in the tiny hamlet of Mohler is Kendra’s River Inn Food & Lodging.

Formerly the Nehalem River Inn, Kendra’s River Inn Food & Lodging is the new home of Kendra Hall, formerly of the well-known Tillamook restaurant Kendra’s Kitchen. Kendra took over the former Nehalem River Inn in early 2016, and is joined by daughter Galena and son Ben, a recent graduate of the Oregon Culinary Institute.

Buttercup Ice Creams and Chowder. Another yummy option is local favourite Buttercup. Do you remember owner Julie Barker, former owner of Blue Sky Cafe and Bread and Ocean, both Manzanita restaurant favorites?
Julie now has a thriving fresh chowder (yep, made to order) and frozen desert take out spot in Nehalem.
Lucky for us, in 2018 Julie is taking orders for either the entire beach Thanksgiving meal, or just the sides. Check out her menu on her website.
